LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the Brun-
swick Grange on June 8, 2014

WHEREAS, New York State and the entire United States is dependent on our
farming industry for a variety of food products; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to commend those
illustrious agricultural organizations within the State of New York
whose focus and intent have made a substantial impact on the quality of
life in their communities; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commem-
orate the 100th Anniversary of the Brunswick Grange, to be celebrated in
Troy, New York on Sunday, June 8, 2014; and
WHEREAS, A community institution, the Brunswick Grange has signif-
icantly contributed to advancing the quality of agriculture for the
residents of Troy, New York, over the past 100 years; and
WHEREAS, During its long and storied history, the Brunswick Grange
helped foster and support interest in agricultural affairs, community
progress and strong family values; and
WHEREAS, In addition, this esteemed organization continues to encour-
age interest in agricultural life among the residents of the region
through its work to advance numerous educational programs, progressive
legislative agendas and wholesome participation by the Youth of the
community; and
WHEREAS, The success enjoyed by the Brunswick Grange is in direct
correlation to the efforts of the many individuals who have supported
the development of this outstanding organization over the years; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when organiza-
tions of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Brunswick Grange, fully confi-
dent that it will continue to enjoy the sparkling success which has so
characterized its past; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the Brunswick Grange.
