LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Travis Woronowicz upon the occasion of
being named an Outstanding Educator by the Capital District YMCA on May
14, 2015

WHEREAS, It is the practice of this Legislative Body to take note of and
publicly acknowledge individuals of remarkable integrity and character
whose endeavors have enhanced the quality of education in this great
State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Travis Woronowicz upon the occasion of being named an Outstanding Educa-
tor by the Capital District YMCA to be celebrated at its 10th Annual
Student and Educator Awards Breakfast Reception, on Thursday, May 14,
2015, at the Sarazen Student Union, Siena College, Albany, New York; and
WHEREAS, This commendation honors high school students and educators
who demonstrate outstanding service to their schools and communities
while embracing the YMCA's core values of caring, honesty, respect, and
responsibility; and
WHEREAS, Travis Woronowicz has held the position of both Bible Teacher
and Spiritual Life Director at Loudonville Christian School for the last
six years; in this capacity, he has provided quality speakers, who offer
meaningful talks, for the staff and the students; and
WHEREAS, Two years ago, Travis Woronowicz established small discussion
groups for students in 9-12th grades; the groups have enabled the young
people to better connect with each other and with their adult mentors;
and
WHEREAS, The future success of our State and Nation is dependent upon
individuals such as Travis Woronowicz, who dedicate their lives as
educators, nurturing our most precious resource, our youth; and
WHEREAS, Teachers provide a tremendous service to the future of our
State and Nation, inspiring generations of young people in their educa-
tional journeys and ensuring their success in their future years; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Travis Woronowicz upon the occasion of being named an Outstanding
Educator by the Capital District YMCA on May 14, 2015; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Travis Woronowicz.
