LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Ann M. Adams upon the occasion of her
retirement after 19 years of distinguished service as Superintendent of
Hermon-DeKalb School

WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made signif-
icant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Ann M. Adams
upon the occasion of her retirement after 19 years of distinguished
service as Superintendent of Hermon-DeKalb School; she will officially
retire on June 30, 2015; and
WHEREAS, Ann M. Adams will celebrate her retirement with a trip to
Alaska in August of 2015, with her husband, Ronald L. Bovay, before
returning to live in the community she has served for so long; and
WHEREAS, Ann M. Adams began her career in education as a high school
English and Government teacher in the 1970s; and
WHEREAS, This esteemed educator has witnessed many changes in school
technology through the years and has helped to make her rural school an
important center of the community; and
WHEREAS, An individual who has truly gone above and beyond to excel in
her career and give back to her local community, Ann M. Adams has made a
difference with her dedication to education and public service; and
WHEREAS, Ann M. Adams has continually demonstrated an impressive dedi-
cation, an unparalleled devotion and an unremitting enthusiasm for the
quality of the educational programs and opportunities offered at
Hermon-DeKalb School for the benefit of its faculty and students, as
well as for the entire community; and
WHEREAS, In completing her service as the Superintendent, Ann M. Adams
leaves behind more than mere bricks and mortar; she leaves behind a
legacy to the residents of her community and to future generations of
the students; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Ann M. Adams upon the occasion of her retirement after 19 years of
distinguished service as Superintendent of Hermon-DeKalb School; and be
it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Ann M. Adams.
