LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Anna Napolitano upon the occasion of
her retirement after 20 years of distinguished service to Nassau County

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and honor
those distinguished citizens of this great Empire State who have devoted
themselves to faithfully serving the best interests of their community
and the needs of its residents; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Anna Napolitano upon the occasion of her retirement after 20 years of
distinguished service to Nassau County, to be celebrated at a Luncheon
on Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at Jonathan's Restaurant, New Hyde Park,
New York; and
WHEREAS, Anna Napolitano was born in 1939, in Brooklyn, New York; she
attended St. Joseph's Elementary School and Bushwick High School; and
WHEREAS, In 1960, Anna Napolitano married her husband and together,
they raised and nurtured three sons; and
WHEREAS, In 1968, The family moved to Levittown, New York, and Anna
Napolitano sold beepers at Lin Communications in Manhattan, New York;
she then went on to sell the devices in Long Island from 1991-1995; and
WHEREAS, After a long career in Sales, Anna Napolitano began to serve
as a Legislative Aid to Nassau County Legislator Dennis Dunne, Sr., a
position she would hold until she officially retired in January of 2016;
and
WHEREAS, After her much deserved retirement, Anna Napolitano will
spend more time with her cherished family; in addition, she will enjoy
visiting her friends, travelling and dining out, and dancing, as well as
going to the movies; and
WHEREAS, Throughout her career, Anna Napolitano served Nassau County
with intelligence and caring dedication, continuously striving to effec-
tively fulfill the duties of her position; and
WHEREAS, Sincerely loved and greatly respected by all those with whom
she worked, Anna Napolitano will be remembered for her honesty, integri-
ty, keen sense of duty and ability to show a unique grasp of human prob-
lems in her official acts; and
WHEREAS, With her throughout have been her loving husband of 56 years,
and her three treasured sons, as well as her seven beloved grandchil-
dren, all of whom feel privileged to be a part of her life and rejoice
in her achievements; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Anna Napolitano upon the occasion of her retirement after 20
years of distinguished service to Nassau County, and to wish her contin-
ued success in all her future endeavors; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Anna Napolitano.
