LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Earl Lilley upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of the 50th Year Membership Pin and Golden
Sheaf Certificate from Monticello Grange No. 1357

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those organiza-
tions and individuals who would devote themselves to the welfare of the
community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Earl
Lilley upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the 50th
Year Membership Pin and Golden Sheaf Certificate from Monticello Grange
No. 1357; and
WHEREAS, In 2015, Monticello Grange No. 1357 celebrated Earl Lilley
for his uninterrupted and distinguished five decades of service to the
Order of Patrons of Husbandry; and
WHEREAS, A vital member of Monticello Grange No. 1357, Earl Lilley has
held the esteemed position of Master since June of 2011; and
WHEREAS, Monticello Grange No. 1357 is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organ-
ization which gives its members the opportunity to advocate for rural
America and agriculture; it is one of more than 2,100 Granges across the
United States; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Earl Lilley has displayed throughout
his life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Earl Lilley upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of
the 50th Year Membership Pin and Golden Sheaf Certificate from Monticel-
lo Grange No. 1357; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Earl Lilley.
