LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Sara Kovatch upon the occasion of her
designation for special recognition by the Orange County Interscholastic
Athletic Association as a 2016 Senior Scholar-Athlete

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accord with
its long-standing traditions, to honor the achievements of its young
citizens and leaders of tomorrow, whose character and accomplishments
exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great State and
Nation; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Sara Kovatch
upon the occasion of her designation for special recognition by the
Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association as a 2016 Senior
Scholar-Athlete; and
WHEREAS, Academically and athletically, Sara Kovatch has distinguished
herself as a young woman of superlative ability, talent, and maturity,
establishing standards of excellence and achievement, purposefulness of
life, and responsibility rarely achieved in youthful years; and
WHEREAS, Sara Kovatch, a student at S.S. Seward Institute, is ranked
first in her class with a 4.0 GPA; she also participated in sports,
including soccer and cheerleading; and
WHEREAS, This esteemed young woman is a member of the National Honor
Society, and was named Valedictorian of her class; she also served as
Senior Class President and was Captain of the cheerleading team; and
WHEREAS, Sara Kovatch has been called upon to contribute her time and
talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always given
of herself unstintingly; she has graciously given of her time as a peer
tutor and volunteer at her church; and
WHEREAS, An outstanding role model for her classmates, Sara Kovatch
has brought honor to her family, school, and community; and
WHEREAS, Sara Kovatch may stand with pride in her achievements, expe-
riencing the satisfaction of her labors and the joy of her accomplish-
ments, eager to face the challenge of new experiences as she continues
her education; and
WHEREAS, Sara Kovatch represents the potential inherent in our most
precious resource, our youth; this Legislative Body is pleased to honor
this young woman, recognizing her achievements and the promise of her
future; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Sara Kovatch upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition by the Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association as
a 2016 Senior Scholar-Athlete, and to wish her well in all her future
endeavors; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Sara Kovatch.
