LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Claudia Krebs upon the occasion of her
designation as recipient of the Senior Scholar Humanities Award by the
Orange-Ulster BOCES on April 28, 2016

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accord with
its long-standing traditions, to honor the achievements of its young
citizens and leaders of tomorrow, whose character and accomplishments
exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great State and
Nation; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Claudia Krebs
upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the Senior Scholar
Humanities Award by the Orange-Ulster BOCES which was celebrated at its
Third Annual Awards Breakfast, on Thursday, April 28, 2016, at Kuhl's
Highland House, Middletown, New York; and
WHEREAS, This auspicious award recognizes outstanding high school
students for their accomplishments and/or performances in the arts,
including fine arts, theater, and music; and
WHEREAS, Claudia Krebs has distinguished herself as a young woman of
superlative ability, talent, and maturity, establishing standards of
excellence and achievement, purposefulness of life, and responsibility
rarely achieved in youthful years; and
WHEREAS, Claudia Krebs has not decided where she will attend college
this fall; she plans on majoring in Interior Design and minoring in
Photography; and
WHEREAS, Currently, she is the secretary of her class, a represen-
tative in Student Senate, a member of National Honor Society, and a
student intern with Luisa Matalucci Photography; and
WHEREAS, Claudia Krebs babysits for various families in her community
and is employed at Delancey's Restaurant as a hostess and River's Edge
Horse Farm as a farmhand; and
WHEREAS, Over the past two years, Claudia Krebs has actively volun-
teered at Noah's Ark Animal Sanctuary in addition to the volunteer work
she has done through Goshen High School; and
WHEREAS, Throughout high school, Claudia Krebs has competed at several
local horse shows; at present, she is working on receiving her yoga
teaching certification at Happy Buddha Yoga Studio; and
WHEREAS, An outstanding role model for her classmates, Claudia Krebs
has brought honor to her family, school, and community; and
WHEREAS, Claudia Krebs may stand with pride in her achievements, expe-
riencing the satisfaction of her labors and the joy of her accomplish-
ments, eager to face the challenge of new experiences as she continues
her education; and
WHEREAS, Claudia Krebs represents the potential inherent in our most
precious resource, our youth; this Legislative Body is pleased to honor
this young woman, recognizing her achievements and the promise of her
future; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Claudia Krebs upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of
the Senior Scholar Humanities Award by the Orange-Ulster BOCES, and to
wish her well in her future endeavors; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Claudia Krebs.
