LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Kathy Denman upon the occasion of her
designation for special recognition by the 2014 SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT
honoring Professional Women and Women in Business

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Kathy Denman has given not only of her time and energies but
also of her competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently has
been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Kathy Denman
upon the occasion of her designation for special recognition by the 2014
SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT honoring Professional Women and Women in Busi-
ness; and
WHEREAS, For the past 28 years, Kathy Denman has been an employee at
Denman Agency, Inc., currently as Office Manager; she relishes being a
part of a family business; and
WHEREAS, The most rewarding aspect of Kathy Denman's job is working
with her family members; in addition, being able to bring her son,
Thomas, to work with her before he was school-aged was a true blessing;
and
WHEREAS, When she's not in the office, Kathy Denman enjoys volunteer-
ing her time and energies to various events and being a member of a
close, active community; and
WHEREAS, Kathy Denman is a member of the Tri-Valley Central School
District Board of Education, 12 years; member of the Grahamsville Fire
Department Ladies Auxiliary and served as President for five years;
Trustee of Time and the Valleys Museum; former board member of Daniel
Pierce Library; and former member of Tri-Valley Youth Commission; and
WHEREAS, Furthermore, Kathy Denman assists with the flag exchange
ceremony each year at the Grahamsville Rural Cemetery, is on the Tri-
Valley Elementary School Playground committee where she helped build a
playground, and serves as the Superintendent of Grounds as well as
Secretary to the Board of Trustees for the Grahamsville Rural Cemetery
Association; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of her community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Kathy Denman has stood constant in
dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, With her throughout have been her husband, Robert, and their
son, Thomas, both of whom feel privileged to be a part of her life and
rejoice in her achievements; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Kathy Denman has displayed through-
out her life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Kathy Denman upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition by the 2014 SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT honoring Professional
Women and Women in Business; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Kathy Denman.
