LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Arminda Farr upon the occasion of her
designation for special recognition by the 2014 SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT
honoring Professional Women and Women in Business

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Arminda Farr has given not only of her time and energies but
also of her competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently has
been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Arminda Farr
upon the occasion of her designation for special recognition by the 2014
SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT honoring Professional Women and Women in Busi-
ness; and
WHEREAS, A graduate of Tri-Valley Central School, Arminda Farr
received her Associate's Degree in Nursing from Sullivan County Communi-
ty College; she also holds Certifications in Wound Care, ACLS, and IV;
and
WHEREAS, For the past 13 years, 38-year-old Arminda Farr has been
working for the Achieve Rehab and Nursing Facility, currently as Assist-
ant Director of Nursing and Wound Care Nurse; her previous positions
include Medication Nurse, RN Supervisor, and RN Unit Manager; and
WHEREAS, One of Arminda Farr's most satisfying aspects of her job is
being able to interact with her residents on a daily basis, helping to
put smiles on their faces, and being a part of improving their health,
well-being, and quality of life; and
WHEREAS, When Arminda Farr's grandfather was a resident at Achieve,
she along with her staff was able to care for him during the time he
spent convalescing after a stroke; and
WHEREAS, With her throughout have been her best friend and husband,
Lee, and their four children, Devin, Kyle, Julie, and Wyaitt, all of
whom feel privileged to be a part of her life and rejoice in her
achievements; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Arminda Farr has displayed through-
out her life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Arminda Farr upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition by the 2014 SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT honoring Professional
Women and Women in Business; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Arminda Farr.
