HONORING Diane Sheldon upon the occasion of her
retirement after 39 years of distinguished service
to CSEA
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to acknowledge the
significant milestones in the distinguished careers of esteemed
residents of this noble Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Diane Sheldon upon the occasion of her retirement after 39 years of
distinguished service to CSEA; and
WHEREAS, This momentous occasion will be celebrated with a
Retirement Party in her honor on Friday, October 7, 2016, at the Polish
American Citizens Club, Albany, New York; and
WHEREAS, For the past 39 years, Diane Sheldon rendered faithful,
conscientious and valuable service to CSEA; and
WHEREAS, Diane Sheldon began her illustrious career nearly four
decades ago as a receptionist in the region; through the years she
climbed the ranks to become CSEA's Retiree Program Specialist, the
esteemed position from which she will retire; and
WHEREAS, In her capacity as Retiree Program Specialist, Diane
Sheldon served with loyalty, honor and distinction; and
WHEREAS, During her tenure with CSEA, Diane Sheldon earned the
admiration, esteem and affection of her colleagues; and
WHEREAS, In her official acts, Diane Sheldon was governed by a keen
sense of duty and always showed a unique grasp of human problems; and
WHEREAS, With her throughout has been her husband, Michael, who
feels privileged to be a part of her life and rejoices in her
achievements; and
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that when
individuals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens
of the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Diane Sheldon upon the occasion of her retirement after 39 years
of distinguished service to CSEA, and wish her continued success in all
of her future endeavors; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Diane Sheldon.
