HONORING Chris Lockwood upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of a Young Professionals
Award by the Sullivan County Democrat

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
pay tribute to those young adults within the great Empire State who have
made strong contributions to their communities and who serve as role
models for their peers; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Chris Lockwood upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of a
Young Professionals Award by the Sullivan County Democrat; and

WHEREAS, Chris Lockwood was selected for this esteemed honor in
recognition of his hard work, ambition, and creativity, as well as for
his profound impact in and around the community of Sullivan County; and

WHEREAS, Born in Herkimer and raised in Liberty, Chris Lockwood
serves as the Marketing Outreach Coordinator for the Sullivan County
Partnership for Economic Development; during high school, he spent most
of his summers working at the Villa Roma Resort and Conference Center
before moving to Syracuse to attend Le Moyne College; and

WHEREAS, After completing his studies and earning a Bachelor's
degree in Marketing and Business Analytics, Chris Lockwood moved back to
the Liberty area and landed his current position with the Sullivan
County Partnership for Economic Development, an organization which works
to promote and coordinate the economic development of private businesses
throughout Sullivan County to help enhance both the quality of life and
standard of living, while also protecting and preserving the
environment; and

WHEREAS, As a native of Sullivan County, Chris Lockwood frequents
White Lake during the summer, enjoys hiking, going to the gym and doing
construction-renovation work in his spare time; and

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Chris Lockwood upon the occasion of his designation as recipient
of a Young Professionals Award by the Sullivan County Democrat; and be
it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Chris Lockwood.
