COMMENDING James Kaden upon the occasion of his
retirement after 25 years of distinguished service
to the South Huntington School District on June 20,
2017

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to acknowledge
the significant milestones in the distinguished careers of those
outstanding educational leaders whose dedication and achievements have
been instrumental in developing character and academic excellence in the
young people of New York State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend James Kaden upon the occasion of his retirement after 25 years
of distinguished service to the South Huntington School District to be
celebrated at a Dinner Party held in his honor on Tuesday, June 20,
2017, at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, New York; and

WHEREAS, For the past 25 years, James Kaden has rendered faithful,
conscientious and valuable service as a member of the Board of Education
of the South Huntington School District; and

WHEREAS, As a vital participant of the Board of Education, James
Kaden has been part of a team which has diligently worked to provide
quality services to all students in the District, and has strived to
empower all children to maximize their potential by teaching them the
necessary academic skills, enabling them to develop the positive social
and moral skills necessary to become contributing members of society,
and providing them with a safe and secure environment where everyone is
treated with respect; and

WHEREAS, During his tenure as a Board Member, James Kaden served
with loyalty, honor, and distinction, earning the admiration, esteem and
affection of his colleagues; and

WHEREAS, Community leaders like James Kaden provide a tremendous
service to the future of our State and Nation, inspiring generations of
young people in their educational journeys and ensuring their success in
their future years; and

WHEREAS, This remarkable man has clearly had an enduring impact on
the community, and accordingly merits recognition and applause for his
impressive dedication to others; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend James Kaden upon the occasion of his retirement after 25 years

of distinguished service to the South Huntington School District on June
20, 2017; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to James Kaden.
