HONORING Michael, Paul and Anthony Billoni upon
the occasion of their designation as recipients of
the Anthony M. Castiglia Achievement Award by the
Italian Leadership Council on March 19, 2018

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize that
the quality and character of life in the communities across New York
State are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those
individuals who would devote themselves to the welfare of the community
and its citizenry; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Michael, Paul and Anthony Billoni upon the occasion of their designation
as recipients of the Anthony M. Castiglia Achievement Award by the
Italian Leadership Council, to be celebrated at its 23rd Annual Event on
Monday, March 19, 2018, at Ilio DiPaolo's Restaurant and Banquet
Facility in Blasdell, New York; and

WHEREAS, A portion of this year's ticket sales will be donated to
Colvin Cleaners in support of their Gowns for Prom and Coats 4 Kids
programs; and

WHEREAS, Twenty-three years ago, Anthony M. Castiglia wanted to
recognize and promote the best that Italian ethnic pride brings to
Western New York with guests enjoying a special St. Joseph's Day Table
feast while honoring local Italian-Americans for their philanthropy; the
Billoni brothers will be receiving this auspicious award for their
steadfast and unremitting commitment to their community; and

WHEREAS, Paul Billoni is the President and CEO of Colvin Cleaners,
the 86-years-old family-owned dry cleaners in Kenmore, New York; he has
been with the company for 41 years, and has graciously helped numerous
worthy organizations; and

WHEREAS, For many years, Michael Billoni held the positions of both
Vice President and General Manager of the Buffalo Bisons; today, he
operates Billoni Associates, a communication and publishing company; for
more than five decades, he has donated his time and energy to various
local causes; and

WHEREAS, Anthony Billoni holds the title of Director of Tobacco-Free
WNY at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, and is the owner of AB Creativity
Consulting; devoted to his community, he served as President of BNMC
Rotary Club, and has been a vital member of several community boards
over the past 30 years; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Michael, Paul and Anthony Billoni upon the occasion of their
designation as recipients of the Anthony M. Castiglia Achievement Award
by the Italian Leadership Council; and be it further

RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Michael, Paul and Anthony Billoni.
