COMMENDING Chrissy Grigoropoulos, Esq. upon the
occasion of her designation for special recognition
by the National Action Network, West Nassau Chapter
on March 17, 2018

WHEREAS, From time to time this Legislative Body takes note of
certain extraordinary individuals it wishes to recognize for their
valued contributions to the success and progress of society and publicly
acknowledge their endeavors which have enhanced the basic humanity among
us all; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Chrissy
Grigoropoulos, Esq. upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition by the National Action Network, West Nassau Chapter to be
celebrated at its 5th Annual Prestigious Women's Gala Awards on
Saturday, March 17, 2018, at Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, New
York; and

WHEREAS, This year's theme is "Destined for Greatness"; Chrissy
Grigoropoulos truly exemplifies this theme for her demonstrated
exemplary work, services, and commitment to the people of her community;
and

WHEREAS, Chrissy Grigoropoulos is the founding attorney of The
Grigoropoulos Law Group, PLLC, which specializes in Personal Injury and
Workers' Compensation litigation and trials; and

WHEREAS, Admitted to practice law in New York State, Chrissy
Grigoropoulos is also admitted to the United States District Courts for
the Southern District and Eastern District of New York; she handles
legal matters in Federal Courts, State Courts, Appellate Courts and at
the Workers' Compensation Boards in all five boroughs of New York City,
as well as Nassau, Suffolk and Westchester counties; and

WHEREAS, Chrissy Grigoropoulos founded the firm in early 2015, and
currently handles primarily large exposure personal injury lawsuits,
high profile criminal defense matters and Workers' Compensation claims
coupled with Third-Party lawsuits; and

WHEREAS, A true asset to her profession, Chrissy Grigoropoulos is a
member of the Nassau County Bar Association, Queens County Bar
Association, Hellenic Lawyers Association of New York, New York Bar
Association, and the National Association of Professional Women; and

WHEREAS, Chrissy Grigoropoulos has been the proud recipient of
numerous awards and accolades including recognition as Star Network's
Rising Stars Top 40 Under 40, American Institute of Personal Injury
Attorneys: 10 Best Female Attorneys for Client Satisfaction for 2016, 10
Best Personal Injury Firms for Client Satisfaction consecutively for two
years, International Top 100 Lawyers 2017 Distinguished Attorney's
Edition, as well as Top 100 Magazine's Business Edition and a
Certificate of Professional Achievement Award for Trials; and

WHEREAS, This esteemed woman holds a bachelor's degree in sociology
from Saint Joseph's College and a Juris Doctor degree from Western
Michigan University: Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan;
and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Chrissy Grigoropoulos upon the occasion of her designation for
special recognition by the National Action Network, West Nassau Chapter
on March 17, 2018; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Chrissy Grigoropoulos.
