HONORING Sarah Denman upon the occasion of her
designation as recipient of the Outstanding Youth
Award by the Town of Tonawanda Youth Board on May
10, 2018

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
pay tribute to those young people within the great Empire State who have
made strong contributions to their communities and who serve as role
models for their peers; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Sarah Denman upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the
Outstanding Youth Award by the Town of Tonawanda Youth Board, to be
celebrated at its 41st Annual Awards Dinner on Thursday, May 10, 2018;
and

WHEREAS, A resident of Kenmore, New York, and a student at Kenmore
West High School, Sarah Denman has distinguished herself as a young
woman of superlative ability, establishing a high standard of excellence
and purposefulness of life rarely achieved in youthful years; and

WHEREAS, Sarah Denman, in achieving this high honor, may take just
pride in the inspiration and contribution to the spirit of excellence
she brings to her family, friends, community and school; and

WHEREAS, With her sense of civic duty and her commitment to others,
Sarah Denman represents the best development of the potential which is
inherent in our most precious resource, our youth; and

WHEREAS, Poised eagerly with enthusiasm and determined purpose, this
scholar now stands honorably, with just pride in her accomplishments and
in eager anticipation of future challenges, understanding and
appreciating the caring counsel and support provided by her teachers,
coaches and parents; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Sarah Denman upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of
the Outstanding Youth Award by the Town of Tonawanda Youth Board on May
10, 2018; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Sarah Denman.
