HONORING Tom Krueger upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of the Employee of
Distinction Award by LeadingAge New York

WHEREAS, Individuals and organizations devoted to improving the
quality of life for others, enabling them to build lives of dignity and
self-worth are deserving of the highest praise and recognition; and

WHEREAS, From time to time, society calls upon these individuals and
organizations to be recognized for the significance of their
contributions and efforts to assist others in developing the skills
necessary to be successful, productive citizens; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Tom Krueger
upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the Employee of
Distinction Award by LeadingAge New York, to be celebrated on Tuesday,
July 30, 2019, at Avila Retirement Community, Albany, New York; and

WHEREAS, Founded in 1961, LeadingAge New York, formerly the New York
Association of Homes & Services for the Aging, is the only statewide
organization representing the entire continuum of not-for-profit,
mission-driven and public senior living and services, including nursing
homes, home care agencies, senior housing, retirement communities,
assisted living, adult care facilities, adult day health care and
managed long term care; and

WHEREAS, LeadingAge New York's nearly 500 not-for-profit,
mission-driven and public provider members serve an estimated 500,000
New Yorkers of all ages annually; and

WHEREAS, A Maintenance-HVAC Technician at Avila Retirement Community
for the past six years, Tom Krueger performs all of his tasks with a
smile on his face and a kind demeanor; and

WHEREAS, Tom Krueger gives tirelessly of his time and energies to
Avila Retirement Community; he is truly a master of his trade and holds
himself to the highest of standards; and

WHEREAS, As an HVAC specialist, Tom Krueger is always on call,
coming in on his days off when necessary; and

WHEREAS, Tom Krueger is steadfastly devoted to his family and spends
his free time as a volunteer softball coach from little league through
high school; he has also helped build homes for those in need through
Habitat for Humanity; and

WHEREAS, In addition, as a snowmobile enthusiast, Tom Krueger has
given of his time to Frontier Sno-Riders; and

WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the occurrence of such a compassionate
blending of strength, leadership, intellect, and commitment as that
demonstrated by Tom Krueger over a lifetime of sacrifice and dedication
to others; and


WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when
individuals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens
of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Tom Krueger upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of
the Employee of Distinction Award by LeadingAge New York; and be it
further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Tom Krueger.
