CONGRATULATING the Stillwater Girls Soccer Team
upon the occasion of capturing the New York State
Public High School Athletic Association Class C
Championship

WHEREAS, Individual and team championships are highly sought after
in high school sports; this Legislative Body commends rare athletic
achievements and pays special recognition to those who pursue such
excellence and become examples for the youth of this great Empire State;
and

WHEREAS, Excellence and success in competitive sports can be
achieved only through strenuous practice, team play and team spirit,
nurtured by dedicated coaching and strategic planning; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to congratulate the
Stillwater Girls Soccer Team upon the occasion of capturing the New York
State Public High School Athletic Association Class C Championship on
Sunday, November 17, 2019 in Cortland, New York; and

WHEREAS, To the praise and applause of their excited fans, the Lady
Warriors were able to surmount their opponents in the New York State
Championship game and accomplish the utmost high school sporting
accomplishment in this great Empire State; and

WHEREAS, The Stillwater Lady Warriors ended a very successful season
finishing 21-0-2 and capped their historic season off with a 1-0 victory
over Section 4 Champion Unatego to secure the Class C New York State
Girls Soccer Championship; and

WHEREAS, These are not uncharted waters for the Lady Warriors, who
also won the 2018 Class C New York State Girls Soccer Championship,
further showing the dedication and drive that the Stillwater Girls
Soccer Team has year in and year out; and

WHEREAS, The Lady Warriors have a remarkable record of 43-0-3 over
the last two years en route to their back-to-back championship
victories; and

WHEREAS, In a sport such as Soccer, which demands athletic prowess,
speed and agility, and mental toughness, Head Coach Christine Ihnatolya
and her expert coaching staff worked hard to hone the skills of this
championship team, teaching these outstanding athletes lessons which
will prove invaluable both on and off the pitch; and

WHEREAS, Coach Ihnatolya and all of the outstanding athletes on the
Stillwater High School Girls Soccer Team have clearly utilized
dedication, determination and teamwork in providing a lasting
contribution to the spirit of excellence which is a tradition of their
school; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate the members of the Stillwater High School Girls Soccer

Team: Paige Brinsko, Kiersten Conroy, Mia Corraro, Trinity Cutler,
Bella Estill, Caroline Farnan, Sydney Frank, Katelyn Koval, Quinn Lilac,
Khali Lux, Kate McEvoy, Gianna Moraci, Kelly Moran, Kara Moran, Jordan
Morey, Marley Mueller, Kylie Peacock, Keelyn Peacock, Brooke Pickett,
Teya Staie, Lily Tanner, Devon Wagner; Head Coach Christine Ihnatolya;
and Assistant Coaches Katie Carlin, Cassidy Chapko, Chris Stanley on
their outstanding season and overall team record of 21-0-2; and be it
further

RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the members of the Stillwater High School Girls Soccer
Team, Head Coach Christine Ihnatolya, and Assistant Coaches Katie
Carlin, Cassidy Chapko, and Chris Stanley.
