COMMENDING Tracy L. Badgley, CPA upon the occasion
of being inducted into the 2020 SUNY New Paltz
School of Business Hall of Fame as Business Person
of the Year

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend Tracy L. Badgley, CPA upon the occasion of being inducted into
the 2020 SUNY New Paltz School of Business Hall of Fame as Business
Person of the Year, to be celebrated with an Induction Ceremony on
Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at the Grandview, Poughkeepsie, New York; and

WHEREAS, Tracy L. Badgley is a Partner at PKF O'Connor Davies with
more than 25 years of distinguished public accounting experience; and

WHEREAS, With a focus on women-owned businesses, management
transitions, financial statement preparation, representation before
state and federal tax authorities, strategic tax planning for
individuals and businesses, divorce advisory services, not-for-profit
organizations, and corporate tax structuring, Tracy L. Badgley advises
professionals, business owners and individuals on advanced tax planning
strategies; and

WHEREAS, Furthermore, she has significant experience and expertise
in Internal Revenue Service representation and negotiating techniques;
and

WHEREAS, Tracy L. Badgley also serves local colleges and
universities to guide students toward the accounting profession, and
serves on the Business Advisory Council for the State University of New
York at New Paltz where she provides real world advice to the School of
Business; and

WHEREAS, A true asset to her profession, Tracy L. Badgley is a
member of the non-profit section of the American Institute of Certified
Public Accountants; she is also past President and current Executive
Board member of the Mid-Hudson Chapter of the New York State Society of
Certified Public Accountants where she is also Chair of the Mid-Hudson
Chapter's Estate Planning Committee; and

WHEREAS, In addition, she serves on the Boards of both Woodland Pond
New Paltz and the Hudson Valley Collaborative Divorce and Dispute
Resolution Association; and

WHEREAS, Tracy L. Badgley earned a Bachelor of Business
Administration degree from Hofstra University School of Business; and

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that when
individuals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens
of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Tracy L. Badgley, CPA upon the occasion of being inducted into
the 2020 SUNY New Paltz School of Business Hall of Fame as Business
Person of the Year; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Tracy L. Badgley, CPA.
