COMMEMORATING the 50th Anniversary of CRM Rental
Management, Inc.

WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those individuals and businesses within our
midst who have made significant contributions to the quality of life
therein; and

WHEREAS, From time to time this Legislative Body takes note of
certain extraordinary individuals and businesses it wishes to recognize
for their valued contributions to the success and progress of society
and publicly acknowledge their endeavors which have enhanced the basic
humanity among us all; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commemorate the
50th Anniversary of CRM Rental Management, Inc.; and

WHEREAS, CRM Rental Management, Inc. was established in 1971, with a
single management contract on Floyd Avenue in Rome, New York; this
contract was for a 299-family rental apartment, designed initially for
the Air Force personnel at Griffiss Air Force Base; and

WHEREAS, Over the past five decades, CRM Rental Management has grown
from apartment management to adding hospitality and commercial
management to its portfolio; in addition, the company graduated away
from third-party management contracts to owning and developing its own
apartment projects; and

WHEREAS, Today, under the able leaderships of its Chief Executive
Officer, John J. Varecka, and its Chairman of the Board of Directors,
Thomas F. Kirkpatrick, this vital business encompasses 70 management
contracts, totaling 5,400 units, in 38 municipalities and in two states
for both family and senior apartment living; and

WHEREAS, With a steadfast and unwavering commitment to its
community, CRM Rental Management has answered calls from federal, state
and local officials to help solve countless inner-city, problem-related
apartment projects; and

WHEREAS, Furthermore, in 2004, CRM Rental Management was joined in
the development, renovation and management of affordable apartment
projects with a then, newly established non-for-profit entity, Liberty
Affordable Housing; and

WHEREAS, Over the course of the past 17 years, CRM and Liberty have
partnered together to construct and renovate 33 different family and
senior affordable apartment projects totaling 3,599 apartment units; and

WHEREAS, The success of the CRM Rental Management is in direct
correlation to the efforts of its dedicated staff and board members, as
well as its many friends and clients, whose involvement is, and always
has been, characterized by an impressive commitment, an unbridled

enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of excellence in all
endeavors on behalf of the business and the community it serves; and

WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body
commends CRM Rental Management for its excellence and for its commitment
and contributions to the community it has so ably served for the past 50
years; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the 50th Anniversary of CRM Rental Management, Inc.; and be
it further

RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to John J. Varecka, Chief Executive Officer, and Thomas F.
Kirkpatrick, Chairman of the Board of Directors.
