HONORING The Perfect Gift upon the occasion of its
designation as recipient of the Small Business of
the Year Award by the Clarence Chamber of Commerce
on March 3, 2022

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize the
achievements of those individuals and businesses that contribute
substantially to the economic vitality of their communities, thereby
enhancing the economic well-being of the entire Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
The Perfect Gift upon the occasion of its designation as recipient of
the Small Business of the Year Award by the Clarence Chamber of
Commerce, to be celebrated at its 49th Annual Awards Dinner on Thursday,
March 3, 2022, at Samuel's Grande Manor in Clarence, New York; and

WHEREAS, The Perfect Gift is receiving this prestigious award for
its steadfast and unremitting commitment to its Clarence community; and

WHEREAS, The Perfect Gift is a locally owned and operated retail
boutique, located in the heart of Clarence Center, New York, occupying
the first floor of the historic Eshelman Building; the shop offers a
beautiful selection of gifts, including one-of-a-kind items, supporting
the work of local artists, home decor, accessories, handbags, jewelry,
women's clothing, seasonal gifts, Buffalo/Clarence gifts, and baby
gifts; and

WHEREAS, Since its opening in 2003, The Perfect Gift has been used
as a platform to help others in multiple capacities as part of "The
Perfect Gift Gives Back "project; countless organizations have been
supported such as local schools, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Erie
County, Roswell, Jaquie Gor A.L.L. foundation, Stop the Clot Alliance,
Let Them Laugh out Loud, Wear 'N Share, Hearts and Hands, and Response
to Love Organizational, as well as Flight 3407; and

WHEREAS, The Perfect Gift also hosts the "Gratitude Tree" in
conjunction with the Englert family of Clarence Center; over the years,
this giving project has provided thousands of gifts to help those in
need in its local neighborhoods, schools, Oshei's Children's Hospital,
Roswell, Cornerstone Manor Women & Children's Shelter, Response to Love
Organization, Clarence Food Pantry, and Make-A-Wish families; and

WHEREAS, The success of The Perfect Gift is in direct correlation to
the efforts of its owner Deborah Tangelder and her staff, whose
involvement is, and always has been, characterized by an impressive
commitment, an unbridled enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of
excellence in all endeavors on behalf of the institution and the
community it serves; and

WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body
acknowledges The Perfect Gift's success, recognizes its contributions to
the local and State economies, and extends its highest commendation to

the corporation and its employees, fully confident that, in its future,
it will enjoy the same success which has so characterized its past; now,
therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor The Perfect Gift upon the occasion of its designation as recipient
of the 2022 Small Business of the Year Award by the Clarence Chamber of
Commerce; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Deborah Tangelder, Owner, The Perfect Gift.
