COMMEMORATING the 80th Anniversary of Dadswell
Service, Inc. of Clarence, New York
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize the
achievements of those individuals and businesses that contribute
substantially to the economic vitality of their communities, thereby
enhancing economic well-being of the entire Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commemorate the 80th Anniversary of Dadswell Service, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, Dadswell Service, Inc., a towing and automotive service
center, was established by Kendrick Dadswell in 1942 at the intersection
of Main Street and Transit Road in Clarence, where it remained until
1951 when the business moved to its present location at 8490 Main Street
at the intersection of Harris Hill Road; and
WHEREAS, A family owned and operated business for the past eight
decades, Kendrick Dadswell has proudly passed on the reins of managing
Dadswell Service, Inc. to his son Don Dadswell, later allowing Don to
bring on his daughter Kim Dadswell Smolarek as the Office Manager, and
his grandson Jake Dadswell as a lead at the Harris Hill location; Don
Dadswell's son, Shawn, and grandson, Brandon, run another Dadswell
location in Pembroke, New York; and
WHEREAS, Over its distinguished history spanning 80 years, Dadswell
Service, Inc. has demonstrated continuous service to the residents and
communities which it serves; and
WHEREAS, The success of Dadswell Service, Inc. is in direct
correlation to the efforts of its hardworking and dedicated staff, all
of whom are considered a part of the Dadswell family; their involvement
is, and always has been, characterized by an impressive commitment, an
unbridled enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of excellence in
all endeavors on behalf of the business and the community it serves; and
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body
acknowledges this exceptional business, its contributions to the local
and state economies, and its vibrant role in improving the quality of
life in its community, fully confident that it will continue to enjoy
the sparkling successes it has experienced thus far; now, therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the 80th Anniversary of Dadswell Service, Inc.; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Dadswell Service, Inc. of Clarence, New York.
