CONGRATULATING the North Salem High School Varsity
Field Hockey Team upon the occasion of capturing the
2021 Class C Section 1 Championship

WHEREAS, Excellence and success in competitive sports can be
achieved only through strenuous practice, team play and team spirit,
nurtured by dedicated coaching and strategic planning; and

WHEREAS, Athletic competition enhances the moral and physical
development of the young people of this State, preparing them for the
future by instilling in them the value of teamwork, encouraging a
standard of healthy living, imparting a desire for success and
developing a sense of fair play and competition; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to congratulate the
North Salem High School Varsity Field Hockey Team upon the occasion of
capturing the 2021 Class C Section 1 Championship; and

WHEREAS, To the praise and applause of their excited fans, the
number one seed Tigers defeated number two seed Bronxville in a 1-0
victory to capture their first Championship in 18 years on Sunday,
October 31, 2021, at Lakeland High School in Shrub Oak, New York; and

WHEREAS, Proudly donning the school's colors of blue and gold,
family, friends, and the community at large loyally and enthusiastically
supported the Tigers throughout their journey as they ended their season
with an impressive record; and

WHEREAS, In a sport such as field hockey, which demands athletic
prowess, speed and agility, Head Coach Jen Frohman and her expert
coaching staff have worked hard to hone the skills of this championship
team, teaching these outstanding athletes lessons which will prove
invaluable both on and off the field; and

WHEREAS, Head Coach Jen Frohman and all of the outstanding athletes
on the North Salem High School Varsity Field Hockey Team have clearly
utilized dedication, determination and teamwork in providing a lasting
contribution to the spirit of excellence which is a tradition of their
school; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate the members of the North Salem High School Varsity Field
Hockey Team: Sophia Aversano, Jenna Andrews, Erin Bartels, Allegra Delli
Carpini, Brady Ellicott, Anna Fetterolf, Claire Herbstritt, Andea Sarno,
Rebecca Senatore, Molly Videla, Sascha Wallos, Skylar Bender, Amanda
Collins, Emily Collura, Lindsey Leone, Grace O'Hanlon, Caila Andrews,
Siena Bertolino, Kaitlyn DeModna, and Anna Laraia; and Head Coach Jen
Frohman upon the occasion of capturing the 2021 Class C Section 1
Championship; and be it further

RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the members of the North Salem High School Varsity Field
Hockey Team, Head Coach Jen Frohman, and Manager Izzy Mosquera.
