Senate Resolution No. 2635

COMMENDING the Valedictorians and the
Salutatorians of the 39th Senate District, at a
celebration to be held at the New York State Capitol
on May 23, 2022

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act in accord
with its long-standing traditions, to honor the youth of today, the
leaders of tomorrow, whose character and achievements exemplify the
ideals and values cherished by this great State and Nation; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend the
Valedictorians and the Salutatorians of the 39th Senate District in
recognition of their outstanding accomplishments; a celebratory visit to
the New York State Capitol in Albany, New York, will be held on Monday,
May 23, 2022; at this time, the students selected by their schools will
receive recognition from the New York State Senate in the Senate
Chamber, eat lunch in the Legislative Office Building, and tour the New
York State Capitol; and

WHEREAS, These Valedictorians and Salutatorians represent the best
of developed potential inherent in our most precious resource, our
youth; their achievements have brought enduring honor to their families
and communities and should be recognized and saluted; and

WHEREAS, Today, we commend the following Valedictorians for their
outstanding academic achievements: Rian Dickman, Marcus Lewis, Emily
Petramale, Andy Wang, Jaisal Patel, Julia Ariano, Arden Hallet, Jessica
Singh, Samantha Reeves, Alicia Kretscher, Alex Liu and Megan Cameron;
and

WHEREAS, Today, we commend the following Salutatorians for their
outstanding academic achievements: Alexa Martinez, Jing Ngo, Noah Im,
Benjamin Harrell, Emma Schlagler, Charlotte Peterson, Sarah Davis, Emma
Linhart, Colby Riley, Julian Lazaro, Evan Liu and Nathan Teall; and

WHEREAS, These Valedictorians and Salutatorians may now stand with
pride as they assess their achievements, experience the satisfaction of
their labors and the joy of their accomplishments, eager to face the new
experiences of a challenging world; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend the Valedictorians and the Salutatorians of the 39th Senate
District, in recognition of their outstanding accomplishments.
