COMMENDING Robinson & Cole, LLP upon the occasion
of celebrating its 175th Anniversary

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to publicly
commend those law firms which substantially contribute to the well-being
of the community by providing outstanding legal service to those in
need; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend Robinson & Cole, LLP upon the occasion of celebrating its 175th
Anniversary on Thursday, February 11, 2021; and

WHEREAS, Since its inception in 1845, Robinson & Cole, LLP has
provided the highest quality legal services to individuals, businesses,
non-profit organizations, and municipalities throughout the United
States; and

WHEREAS, Robinson & Cole, LLP is ranked as one of the largest law
firms in the country with 220 lawyers and offices in New York, New
England, the mid-Atlantic, Florida and California; the firm's New York
City office has become a central hub for its lawyers to serve the needs
of its countless clients; and

WHEREAS, With nearly a quarter of the firm's lawyers licensed by the
New York State Bar Association, Robinson & Cole, LLP established a New
York City office in 1997; ten years later, in 2007, the firm officially
opened an office in Albany; and

WHEREAS, Robinson & Cole's deep-rooted culture of collaboration,
civility and inclusion, with a strong emphasis on community involvement,
remains the foundation of its extraordinary ability to learn from the
past and embrace the changes of today; and

WHEREAS, Today, Robinson & Cole, LLP continues to contribute to the
local community by volunteering pro-bono services to countless charities
and non-profit organizations in each of the communities it serves, and
providing access to the justice system for some of its most vulnerable
populations; and

WHEREAS, Over its distinguished 175-year history, Robinson & Cole,
LLP has demonstrated continuous service to the residents and communities
which it serves; and

WHEREAS, The success of Robinson & Cole, LLP is in direct
correlation to the efforts of its renowned attorneys and staff, whose
involvement is, and always has been, characterized by an impressive
commitment, an unbridled enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of
excellence in all endeavors on behalf of the firm and the communities it
serves; and

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that when
individuals and institutions of such noble aims and accomplishments are

brought to our attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by
all the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Robinson & Cole, LLP upon the occasion of celebrating its 175th
Anniversary, and to wish this law firm continued success in its vital
work on behalf of its clients; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Robinson & Cole, LLP.
