SENATOR GALLIVAN RESLEASES TESTIMONY FROM ERIE COUNTY IDA REFORM HEARING

Senator Patrick M. Gallivan (R,C,I - Elma) published public testimony today regarding industrial development agencies (IDAs) in Erie County collected at a public hearing he hosted with Senator Mark J. Grisanti (R,C,I - Buffalo) late last month in Downtown Buffalo.

The public hearing, intended to garner insight from all interested parties, included testimony from Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz, Assemblymembers Sean Ryan of Buffalo, Dennis Gabryszak of Cheektowaga and Jane Corwin of Clarence, as well as from local town supervisors, IDA officials, public interest groups, business interests, and the public.

Gallivan has stated that the information and perspectives gathered at this event will inform his decision-making as he considers pursuing IDA reform legislation next year when the Senate reconvenes in Albany.
