Senator Robach Fights to Protect Domestic Violence Victims

Domestic Violence can affect anyone no matter what age, race, gender, religion, class or ethnicity.  Throughout my tenure in the Senate, I have worked closely with advocates of domestic violence to strengthen New York’s laws to protect victims and punish perpetrator.  Last year, two important bills that I sponsored became law (Chapter 480, Chapter 526).  These new measures strengthened the guidelines surrounding the order of protection process and helped define economic and financial abuse in New York State.  For more information on these new claws click on the links above.
