On Saturday, May 13, 2017, America's letter carriers urge all of us to 'Stamp Out Hunger': Read and watch more about tomorrow's 25th Annual National Letter Carriers' 'Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive'

According to National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) President Frederic Rolando, "We deliver to every address in America at least six days a week, and because we’re such a consistent and familiar presence in neighborhoods, we’re all too familiar with the unfortunate reality of ongoing hunger.”

On Saturday, May 13, the NALC will sponsor its 25th  Annual "Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive."

From a report on WENY-TV,  "The food will be donated to the Food Bank of the Southern Tier.  It helps support the Backpack Program, which supplies food for school children in need." Read more, "Help 'Stamp Out Hunger' Saturday"

According to the  Food Bank, more than 72,00 Southern Tier residents live below the poverty line, including one in four children.
