Senator Montgomery Urges Public Service Commission Chair John Rhodes for Transparency and Community involvement in the National Grid investigation

Senate Seal

Senator Montgomery joined by other Brooklyn electeds, urge the Public Service Commision Chair John B. Rhodes to provide for open formal public proceedings related to the investigation of National Grid's denial practices with a public matter and case number. As the Public Service Commission, the office of Governor Cuomo, and the office of Attornery General Letitia James have committed to inquiring into National Grid's denial practices in Brooklyn, there is still no way for the public and affected parties to get real time updates regarding their denials.

Furthermore, opening the investigation for the purpose of formal public proceedings, would create a transparent process for customers and stakeholders to not only monitor the status of the investigation, but also allows for their input and participation. Community input from customers in the respective region helps to provide a complete asessment of the needs and demands of the communities affected.
