Small Business Saturday

Dear Friends,

Today is Small Business Saturday, a time to support our small businesses by shopping local. Support them today----and everyday!

Even though COVID has made shopping more challenging, our small businesses are taking measures so you can shop safely while you take advantage of their sales and special deals. If you shop inside a store, you must wear a mask. But you can also shop online, do curb-side pick up or get items delivered.

Lots of your local stores are owned by your neighbors and friends and are the backbone of our communities. They hire local people. They get involved in community events. Many have gone out of their way to help others. It’s important that we remember them especially at this time. December is often their make or break it month to help keep them going into the new year.

In recognition of Small Business Saturday, I am asking you to please nominate a deserving small business in the 35th election district (Greenburgh, White Plains, New Rochelle, Scarsdale and Yonkers) to be considered for the NYS Senate Empire Business Award. This honor recognizes businesses for entrepreneurship, being a leader in their field, giving back to the community, and being philanthropic. We are looking for exceptional businesses making a difference in the community and the State. To nominate a business, please click here.

As always, please feel free to email me at scousins@nysenate.gov or call my office at (914) 423-4031, if you have any questions or issues of concern.

Until Next Time,
