Shed the Meds Helps Residents Safely Dispose of Unwanted or Expired Prescription Medications

            Senator Anthony Palumbo (R,C - New Suffolk) today announced he will be hosting a Shed the Meds prescription drug collection event in cooperation with the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office. The event will take place on Thursday, May 6, 2021 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm in the parking lot of the Mastic-Moriches-Shirley Community Library located at 407 William Floyd Parkway in Shirley, NY.

            “The Shed the Meds program is a way for residents to safely dispose of unwanted or expired medications as a way to keep them out of our groundwater and away from children. I’m hoping many residents will take advantage of this service provided by the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office,” said Senator Palumbo.
