New York Conference of Italian-American Legislators Will Award Four Scholarships to High School Seniors and Students Currently Enrolled in College

Senator Anthony Palumbo (R,C-New Suffolk), a member of the New York Conference of Italian-American State Legislators, is pleased to announce that the organization will be awarding four $4,000 scholarships at this year’s Italian-American Day on May 22, 2023. Interested high school seniors and students currently enrolled in college are encouraged to apply for these awards.

“I’m happy to announce these scholarship opportunities to students throughout the 1st Senate District. It is always a pleasure recognizing our hard-working young men and women and especially gratifying to help further their education when finances present a challenge,” said Senator Palumbo.

The four scholarships include two academic scholarships and two athletic scholarships. Students will be required to meet certain academic and community involvement criteria, as well as the ability to demonstrate financial need.

The New York State Conference of Italian-American Legislators is a not-for-profit 501c3 organization comprised of current Senate and Assembly members promoting the rich history and contributions of their Italian heritage.

More information about the scholarships, as well as criteria, can be found online at https://www.nyiacsl.org/apply-for-scholarship-form. You do not need to be Italian-American to apply. All applications are due by Monday, March 27, 2023.
