You can see the status of any bill and see which State Senators are sponsors of the bill already and which are not by going to nysenate.gov/legislation.

To become law in New York, an identical bill will also need to pass the State Assembly. By clicking on the bill number following “See Assembly Version of this Bill,” you can find out which assembly members sponsor the bill.

To share feedback about a bill:

1. Look for a blue box that says “Are you in favor of this bill?” and click “Aye” (yes) or “Nay” (no.)

2. Enter details about your perspective in the box that pops up*

3. Click “Confirm”

*Note: If you don’t already have an account or aren’t logged in, you’ll also be asked to answer a few questions to verify that you are a constituent.
