Senator O'Mara joined WHCU's Joe Salzone on this morning's 'Morning Newsmaker' to provide an update on Governor Kathy Hochul's 2023-2024 proposed state budget and the anticipated approval this week of one-house budget resolutions.

Senator O'Mara serves as the Ranking Member on the Senate Finance Committee and he looks ahead to what could be in store after Governor Hochul and the Democrat majorities in the Senate and Assembly finish negotiating a final state budget later this month -- and highlights some of the priorities he'd like to see addressed including increased state support for local roads and bridges, a focus on economic revitalization, state government spending restraint, tax and mandate relief, and taking steps to make the state more affordable for all New Yorkers.
