Senator Greets Liberty Youth In Albany

State Senator John J. Bonacic (R/I/C - Mount Hope) met with adults and children from Liberty, including Liberty Town Supervisor Frank DeMayo, who travelled to Albany to lobby for a skate park in Liberty. Ms. Judy Schneyer, Community Development Specialist and Ms. Darlene Fedun, Chair of the Team Skate Project from the Liberty Community Development Corporation were also in attendance and were instrumental in coordinating the trip to Albany and assisting the young Liberty residents with their lobbying efforts.

The youth from Liberty who visited were: Gabby Rodriguez, Youth Chair of Team Skate, Michelle Schmitz, Jamie Barbehenn, Tony Randall, Kelly Lightle, Pat Murphy, Nick Vasquez, Jennifer Cronk, Karl Carlsen, Brittany Panagakos, Robert Schneider-Taub, Brad Porter, Dan Bottaro, Matt Bottaro, Justin Miller, Amy Baker, and Jordan Fedun. The students were also joined by their teacher, Carmen Dieguez and parent,Olivia Lightle. The youth presented in great detail their skate park proposal to Senator Bonacic.

"It is great to see so many young people involved in community projects and who genuinely care about their community, the residents, and the overall quality of life," stated Senator Bonacic. "I look forward to working with the group to help meet their goals."
