Tell Governor Cuomo and Mayor de Blasio to invest in better, faster and more efficient mass transit on Staten Island! Bring Bus Rapid Transit to the North Shore!

For years, Staten Island has been shortchanged by the MTA, leaving our neighborhoods without the mass transit they need.

The North Shore Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) line on the old North Shore railroad right-of-way would ease congestion, speed up commute times and provide Staten Islanders with a better, faster and more efficient transit network.

But the MTA shockingly excluded the North Shore BRT project in their new 5-year capital plan proposal, hurting our families, our community and our economy.

With major projects like the NY Wheel, Empire Outlets, Lighthouse Point, the Iron State Development, Bayonne Bridge, and Goethals Bridge construction currently affecting the standard of living and exacerbating the transportation deficiencies along the waterfront, we need to invest in better transit to relieve the growing congestion and help support economic development along the North Shore.

Staten Island Chamber of Commerce, the New York League of Conservation Voters Education Fund and a broad coalition of community & business groups are leading the fight to restore North Shore BRT funds.

Join us! Tell Governor Cuomo and Mayor de Blasio it's time for Staten Island to receive its fair share of MTA transit investments, fund the North Shore BRT!

We're not going to let Staten Island get thrown under the bus again!
