Senator O'Mara released the following statement:

"I’ve welcomed the opportunity to work closely with Mayor Hogan, Deputy Mayor Buckley, Congressman Reed, Assemblymen Palmesano, Giglio and Nojay and so many other local leaders and concerned citizens to encourage and pursue the steps necessary to preserve a comprehensive, strong St. James Mercy Hospital in Hornell.  That means a strong institution of quality health care, first and foremost, but also as a vital cornerstone of the local community, including as a local employer.  We’re moving in the right direction and we’ll continue to work to ensure a future of quality health care, community access and local employment."
