E-Filing Tax Assistance at Local Libraries

The NYS Tax Department is partnering with some local libraries to help individuals who are eligible to e-file for free. Eligibility includes having a combined income for 2015 that was less than $62,000.

In Fulton County, volunteers to help guide people through the process of e-filing returns will be available at the Gloversville Public Library, 58 E. Fulton Street., Gloversville, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Jan. 26th, Feb. 2nd, Feb. 9th, Feb. 16th, Feb. 23rd, March 1st, March 8th, March 15th, March 22nd, March 29th, April 5th, and April 12th.

In Schenectady County, volunteers to help guide people through the process of e-filing returns will be available at the Schenectady Public Library, 99 Clinton Street, Schenectady, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Jan. 26th, Feb. 2nd, Feb. 9th, Feb. 16th, Feb. 23rd, March 1st, March 8th, March 15th, March 22nd, March 29th, April 5th, and April 12th.

In Saratoga County, volunteers to help guide people through the process of e-filing returns will be available at the Ballston Spa Public Library, 21 Milton Avenue, Ballston Spa, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., on Jan. 26th, Feb. 2nd, Feb. 9th, Feb. 16th, Feb. 23rd, March 1st, March 8th, March 15th, March 22nd, March 29th, April 5th, and April 12th. Volunteers will also be available at the Clifton Park-Halfmoon Public Library, 475 Moe Road, Clifton Park, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Jan. 27th,  Feb. 3rd, Feb. 10th, Feb. 17th, Feb. 24th, March 2nd, March 9th, March 16th, March 23rd, March 30th, April 6th and April 13th.
