Bill Signing for Breast Cancer Legislation Package

On Friday, I joined Governor Cuomo and Assembly Majority Leader Joe Morelle for the official bill signing of comprehensive legislation that was passed this session to help combat breast cancer. This legislation dramatically expands access to mammograms and other detection procedures, eliminates co-pays deductibles for most screenings and makes breast cancer screening, treatment and care more affordable for millions of New Yorkers.
 
After the bill signing, I joined the Governor, law enforcement officials and community members for a breast cancer awareness motorcycle ride on the New York State Thruway. We have all been affected by breast cancer in some way, by passing these measures and helping to raise awareness we can help more people get access to life-saving screenings and treaments available.
