School in Oceanside SMILES lab features state-of-the-art tools for learning
OCEANSIDE — School and local officials cut the ribbon to officially open the SMILES lab at Oceanside School Number 6 Friday, with no shortage of smiles inside.
The SMILES Lab, which stands for Six's Magical Innovation Learning and Exploration Space, was three years in the making, thanks to state funding secured by Sen. Todd Kaminsky.
"We want our children to be at the forefront of what's happening globally and digitally, and this is the best example I’ve seen of that," Sen. Kaminsky said.
