Last week, Attorney General Schneiderman called on the state legislature to close a loophole in the state’s double jeopardy laws that would prevent a recipient of a presidential pardon to be charged with crimes in New York State. Sen. Todd Kaminsky (D-Long Beach) explained his proposed legislation to close the loophole.
