Bring your dancing shoes and come meet your neighbors! Senator Andrew Gounardes is announcing salsa dancing events in Bay Ridge and Marine Park in September. People of all ages are welcome to join the free Salsa lessons taught by professional dancers, followed by practice/social dancing.

The first dance will be in Bay Ridge on Friday, September 20, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 69th St. Pier on Bay Ridge Avenue and Shore Road. The second dance will be in Marine Park on Sunday, Sept 22, from 4:15 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. in front of the Carmine Carro Center, facing the flagpole. The entrance is  at Fillmore Ave and Marine Parkway.

“I am happy to host two fun and energetic dancing events as a way to bring our community together. Southern Brooklyn is the home of Saturday Night Fever, so let’s get out there and dance! I hope that many people will enjoy these free lessons,” said State Senator Andrew Gounardes, who is looking to expand the dance series next year to include many more types of dance, including Argentine Tango and swing.
