Albany bills could help 3 local school districts from losing funds

Last week, state Sen. James Skoufis introduced a new bill to provide relief to the Chester and Newburgh school districts.

“Now that the governor’s budget proposal has been released and as far as we can tell, there’s nothing that speaks to this issue and resolves this issue, my intention now is to pass these bills as quickly as possible,” Skoufis said. “But one way or the other, I am going to do everything in my power to fight like hell to solve this problem legislatively or through the budget process.”
