Medline, which bills itself as America’s largest privately held maker of medical supplies, says it has outgrown its 500,000 square-foot warehouse in Wawayanda. It would build the new one on 118 acres it bought from Aden Brook Farm.

Some of the most stinging criticism of Medline came from state Sen. James Skoufis. He said it was “no coincidence” that now that Medline’s Payment in Lieu of Taxes (PILOT) tax break agreement for its Wawayanda plant is expiring, “they decide to move and apply for a new PILOT.”

Whether they get the new PILOT or not will only mean a difference of about $2 million in profits, he said.

“Pay your damn taxes,” Skoufis said.
