ALBANY – Every member of the Stewart Airport Commission – the advisory body to the state Department of Transportation, the landlord to New York Stewart International Airport – is serving in an expired term. As is the case with other commissions, they will remain in those posts until they are reappointed or someone else is named in their place.

...

That doesn’t sit well State Senator James Skoufis (D, Woodbury), who believes all positions should be current. “It is really imperative that the state plays catch up and stops putting these commissions and their nominations and re-nominations on the back burner,” he said. “It is incumbent upon us as a state government to make sure that these commissions, which represent local taxpayers and residents in New York, are up to date well maintained.”
