CORNWALL- Cornwall resident Erin Talarico is excited to see a traffic light finally get installed at the intersection of Jackson Avenue and Route 94 after she survived an accident at the same spot four years ago.

“It’s gonna make a huge difference. Hopefully it would help reduce accidents,” said Talarico, who collected nearly 1,200 signatures on a petition advocating for the traffic light.

The notorious intersection is believed to be the most dangerous one in town - 38 accidents have occurred there over the past five years. There is not enough site distance for drivers to judge when it’s safe to go because of curves on Route 94, which leads to traffic backups and impatient drivers.
