Seven high school students attending Five Towns area schools were recognized by State Sen. Todd Kaminsky (D-Long Beach) as “student stars” for their academic achievements.

The Five Towns “student stars” include: Lawrence Froymovich of Hewlett High School, Molly Vashovsky of HAFTR High School, Kimberly Palacios of Lawrence High School, Moshe Goldfeder, Rambam Mesivta High School in Lawrence, Shoshana Greenberg of Stella K. Abraham High School for Girls in Hewlett Bay Park, Hewlett resident Jake Belmont of Lynbrook High School and Malverne resident Mishah Aryeh of Davis Renov Stahler Yeshiva High School for Boys in Woodmere.

Kaminsky honored 28 students in total from the 9th Congressional District. He visited the homes of each student and presented them with the annual New York State Senate Student Stars Award.

“I am thrilled to recognize these extraordinary students who have excelled academically and established themselves as leaders in their communities,” Kaminsky said. “The Student Stars Award winners represent the best and brightest that our schools have to offer, and serve as role models for their peers. I applaud their achievements and will be eagerly awaiting their future plans.”
