
Climes honored with State Senate Commendation Award

State Senator James Skoufis has recognized Nolly Climes, Managing Director of Rehabilitation Support Services (RSS), with the State Senate’s Commendation Award.
The award is given to individuals who have made significant, lasting contributions to their community and the state. It also recognizes exceptional leadership, dedication, and service in various fields, including community development, education, and volunteerism. The award is bestowed upon those who go above and beyond in their service, demonstrating a positive impact that extends beyond their immediate community.
For over three decades, Climes has worked with RSS, helping Orange County residents who have suffered from addictions. He also serves as the Human Service Coordinator within the Behavioral Science Department at SUNY Orange, where he has been an adjunct professor for almost 20 years. In addition, he has been the President of the Joint Membership of Health and Community Agencies for over two decades, Board President for the People for People Fund, and last year was awarded INSPIRE’s Mary Lee Berry Shining Stars Award for “Outstanding Service to People with Disabilities”.
Known for his calm demeanor, Climes is well-liked and respected in the community.
