Skoufis brings $750K for Warwick pool complex renovations
A $750,000 grant from State Senator James Skoufis (D, Cornwall) has made it possible for the Town of Warwick to expand and enhance the facilities at its town pool complex.
Officials cut the ribbon on Wednesday, formally re-opening the center that provides outdoor recreational facilities for people of all ages, said Town Supervisor Jesse Dwyer.
“This project is amazing because it really made an investment in what our community wants most, and that is better parks, better facilities and more access to things like this – outdoor activities, staying outside of their homes where kids are playing video games and staying out of trouble,” he said.
Skoufis called the public pool complex “a cornerstone” of summer recreation.
In addition to upgrading the existing pools, a third one – a kiddie pool was added.
