Senator James Skoufis (D, Cornwall) welcomed hundreds of Orange County residents at a series of community events this fall.

Now in its second year, Senator’s annual senior picnic series added a fourth stop, traveling from the western to the eastern edge of the county:  Skoufis joined local leaders to share lunch with almost 700 seniors from Port Jervis to Cornwall and everywhere in between.
Senator Skoufis’ Community Resource Fair and BBQ welcomed more than 500 Orange County residents, providing lunch, ice cream, entertainment, and over 25 agencies and organizations from around the county offering resources and information. Starting in 2021, the event celebrated its fifth anniversary this year as a mainstay of the Senator’s community calendar.

“It’s an honor to represent Orange County and to visit with residents as a neighbor,” said Senator Skoufis. “These events provide invaluable opportunities for me to connect directly with local residents. To hear their concerns, answer their questions, and focus on their priorities. I’m grateful to every community that welcomed and coordinated with us to make these events happen, and to every resident who made time to attend. It was wonderful to see everyone!”
