Staten Island Zoo to receive $250,000 for animal hospital upgrades

Senator Jessica Scarcella-Spanton announced $250,000 in capital funding for the Staten Island Zoo’s animal hospital during a press conference last week.
 
“The Staten Island Zoo is a true treasure to our borough and state, which is why I am so proud to have secured $250,000 for upgrades to its animal hospital,” Scarcella-Spanton said. “For over 90 years, the Staten Island Zoo has served as a community staple for all interested in learning about wildlife and our environment.”
